This is a comprehensive course to help prevent mass shootings in schools, businesses, places of worship, hospitals, and other areas that are deemed as "soft targets".
In Active Shooter Response Threat, we will go over data collected from over 50 mass shootings, finding similarities along the way which will lead you to a conclusion that answers the question - What can be done to counter or even prevent this threat from occurring? We then investigate the best ways to respond to such a threat in a worst case scenario, by using a program developed by the Department of Homeland Security that initially released to address how victim tactics should change in the face of a mass shooting.
Once you have absorbed the information from these historical events and encounters, you will begin to understand the importance of developing an Emergency Operations Plan (EOP), and the systemic thought-process that goes into preparing for a mass casualty.
